Mike Shannon, Founder
Mike uses his 35-year selling career as the foundation for his passion in helping companies and individuals maximize their revenue and income potential. His client experience includes several multi-billion dollar plus companies including WR Berkley, Markel, AmWINS and The Leavitt Group. He is a frequent faculty member for AAMGA’s University program, and has worked with clients from all over the United States.
Mike is also an established author with the release of his book “Hooked on Hopium” in 2012 and articles published in numerous magazines and newsletters.
During his sales career, Mike grew a manufacturer’s representative business by over 1,000 percent and served as President of the Philadelphia Division of an electronics company. He also was VP of Aries Technology, a MCAE software start-up and spent ten years selling high technology hardware and software. Mike has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Delaware and a Masters in Business Administration from LaSalle University.
Mike currently serves as a board chairman for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes in Chester County, PA. He also volunteers weekly at the Bridge Academy Community Center, a faith-based tutoring and mentoring outreach to young residents of Coatesville, PA. Mike and his wife reside outside of Philadelphia, PA and their two adult children live in California with their spouses.
Jackie Obrecht, Recruiter
Jackie Obrecht joined the TriFit Insurance Business Development team as a Recruitment Specialist in 2016. Jackie has been in the recruitment world since 2011 having started her hiring career working for a nationally recognized staffing firm, Ultimate Staffing Services. Her background includes staffing the insurance, healthcare, customer service, retail and non-profit industries on a wide variety of roles ranging from contract, contract-to-hire and permanent placements.
At TriFit, Jackie focuses on commercial insurance clients including Carriers, Managing General Agencies, Program Administrators, Wholesalers, and Retail Agencies on a nationwide basis.
Jackie has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dickinson College and lives in Ruxton, MD with her husband and son.
