As a major retail insurance agency with sales of $1.5 Billion annually, The Leavitt Group continually struggled with identifying and hiring new sales people for their 85 agencies. They had no systematic process for locating and identifying candidates, nor did their existing screening process help them accurately predict who would be successful in the field.
TriFit Insurance Business Development introduced its Sales Talent Acquisition Routine (STAR) process to The Leavitt Group. A key component of STAR is the use of Objective Management Group’s Express Screening tool at the initial stage of the recruiting process. The Leavitt Group began using this tool immediately.
Over the initial three month period, The Leavitt Group had screening results for seventy five candidates, 45% of which were hirable. Another one hundred or so candidates self-eliminated by not completing the screen, saving hiring managers weeks of wasted time. New producers hired using the STAR program are proving to be among the best hires ever made in The Leavitt Group’s history.
